John is a specialist in corporate reputation and risk management with a wide-ranging international business background.
A former Royal Marines officer, John has held senior roles in the banking, electronics, biometrics and security printing sectors. He has lived and worked in Africa, the Far East, the Middle East and the USA.
John founded Interchange in 2006 and has provided anti-corruption and modern slavery advice to organisations ranging from SMEs to global aerospace and defence companies and a national railway.
John submitted evidence to the UK Parliament’s Joint Committee on the country’s draft Bribery Bill and to the 2018 House of Lords review of the Bribery Act 2010. He is a member of the UK committee for the ISO37001:2016 anti-bribery management system standard.. John is a member of of the Advisory Board of the Canterbury Christ Church Business School and is a UKAS Technical Assessor for ISO37001:2016.
John is compiler of the the Business Ethics Toolkit published by ADS, the premier trade organisation advancing the UK aerospace, defence, security and space industries; author of an anti-bribery e learning module published by Nelson Croome and a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of World Traders. John speaks Arabic.
